Here’s a brief summary
Born in England, I lived near London, and attended Eltham College, a former SSM
(School for the Sons of Missionaries). Both my parents have now passed on.
I worked in England until 1992, meeting my wife Liz in 1974, who had already blessed
the world with three wonderful children, who I “inherited”. We then moved to the
USA, living first in Arizona, where Liz had formed ties before I met her, and recently
moving to a 120 acre farm in Missouri. The kids have grown up, and are one on each
continent, of the Americas, Europe, and Africa -
I have been writing for a few years, having discovered that an English paid education is an admirable grounding for such activities.
That said, I do not deny my earlier career, and am writing about engineering topics such as solar energy, and other energy concerns.
In that regard, I would urge you not to be carried away in any fads, but to make sure that any claims are factually based. In my opinion, and from what I have seen, solar energy is receiving much more publicity than its current application warrants. Did you know, for instance, that according to government published figures the amount of energy used from the sun is a fraction of 1% of the total energy we use? I believe that solar energy will make great strides, not all US driven, as the technology is much more advanced in Europe.
Back to the writing aspect, you will know that I have had a book published, and may rightly suspect that I will be authoring some more. However, my writing skills are drawn in all directions, and I am equally at home blogging, and writing articles on all types of topics. If you have a particular project in mind, I will probably be able to show you some examples of my skills.
